Who's afraid of Virgina Woolf? Not anyone with a Virginia Woolf plush doll!
A nervous, delicate child, Woolf was educated at home by her parents. She grew to become a central figure in the Bloomsbury group, a distinguished novelist, essayist and critic. Her writing explores concepts of time, memory and inner consciousness, and is remarkable for its humanity and depth of perception. She suffered from frequent bouts of depression and drowned herself in the River Ouse in 1941.
