The Charles Darwin Magnetic Finger Puppet may look tiny and insignificant, but the man himself put forth mind-boggling ideas with the publication of his Origin of the Species in 1859.
Darwin peddled the notion of "natural selection." Essentially, it is the process by which advantageous traits are constantly reproduced in a species, whereas disadvantageous traits are weeded out. Natural selection is also known as "survival of the fittest."
Darwin played with fire by contradicting otherwise well-accepted religious believes about biology and the origins of man.
Though Darwin’s theories of evolution have since changed, he still remains its ancestor, and is renowned for his thoughts on the proliferation of species. | |
